Location Bratislava The representatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency participated at the Slovak – Cyprus Business Forum which took place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on the occasion of the visit of the President of Cyprus in Slovakia. The event was prepared in the cooperation with the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency CIPA. CIPA introduced economic and investment environment of Cyprus under, Mr. Christoph Christophoros from PricewaterhauseCoopers compared the processes of establishing a Limited liability company in Slovakia and Cyprus and project manager FDI Section of The SARIO Agency presented Slovakia to the Cyprian business representatives as an ideal business destination for covering their business activities in the Central and Eastern European region. The Business Forum was attended by the President of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ivan Gašparovičand the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Demetris Christofias. Both presidents agreed on the necessity to extend mutual cooperation between the countries, which suffer from the consequences of the global economic crisis. The program of the forum continued by presentations about the benefits of setting up and operating investment firms through Cyprus and the basic features of Cyprus banking system. The bilateral business to business meetings concluded the Business Forum.
