Location Bratislava Slovak Investment and Development Agency (SARIO) presented our country in Sweden. The trip was attended by the State Secretary of Ministry of Economy Kristian Takac and Lucia Guzlejova from the Section of Foreign Direct Investment of SARIO. The aim of the meeting in Sweden was to exchange experience in the energy sector with emphasis on renewable energy, smart grids and cleantech. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and SARIO also met with representatives of the academic and research community of the University of Gothenburg and the Chalmers University of Technology. Part of the mission in Sweden was also an investment seminar. SARIO presented business environment and investment opportunities in Slovakia. This presentation has established individual communication with companies wishing to develop business activities in our country. Representatives of the cities of Malmö and Gothenburg presented their concept of building of green cities and the planning of new urban areas taking into account environmental protection. SARIO´s aim is to be a modern agency, which will be perceived by foreign investors and domestic partners as a vehicle for growth and innovation. SARIO wants to assist to the development of the Slovak economy in the maximum extent possible by attracting new investment and offering trade support, which shall bring its results in creation of new jobs and ultimately increase the living standards in Slovakia.
