Slovak- Indonesian Business Forum in Bratislava

Mr. Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia paid the official visit to Slovakia on June 11 – 12, 2012 following the invitation of Mr. Tomáš Malatinský, Minister of Economy of the SR.

 

The main objective of the visit is to deepen, activate and explore further possibilities of cooperation, with particular emphasis on its economic dimension and follow up on the results of the state visit of the Slovak President H.E. Ivan Gasparovič to Indonesia in October 2011.



6th Slovak-Indonesian Business Forum - meeting of Slovak and Indonesian entrepreneurs (June 12, 2012, Radisson SAS Carlton in Bratislava) was co-organized by the Embassies of Slovakia and Indonesia as a part of this visit. Mr. Miroslav Lajčák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs participated at the Slovak-Indonesian business forum as well.

 

The key presentations were dedicated to Success stories - the company IEG, Slovakia-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and University Andalo. Indonesian businessmen had the opportunity to hear a presentation on Slovak investment and business environment by Mr Robert Šimončič, SARIO CEO,. He stressed in particular the possibilities of developing bilateral trade partnership with special focus on energy, construction, agriculture and IT sectors. During the Business Forum several trade agreements have been signed between the Slovak and Indonesian entrepreneurs, as well as cooperation agreements between the particular universities.
