Slovakia at the Anuga Fair 2019

Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), within the framework of the National Project: ‘Support of internationalization of SMEs’, which is realized within the framework of the Operational Program Research and Innovation, organized platform for small and medium enterprises for the presentation of themselves through the Slovak national exposition. The exposition, held from 5^th till 9^th of October, 2019, under Slovakia´s nation brand – Good Idea Slovakia, was presented on the world’s biggest food and beverages trade fair.

International food and beverages fair Anuga, which takes place in Koelnmesse exhibition center in Cologne, is organized once in two years and represents the most important meeting place for food and beverage enterprises and specialists from the whole world. The anniversary 100th-year exhibition was attended by 7500 exhibitors. Anuga fair spreads over an exhibition area of 284 000 square meters. The main partner country of this year’s exhibition was Paraguay.

The Slovak Republic was represented in the exhibition through the national stand, which was organized by the SARIO agency and it was a place, where 5 enterprises presented their food and beverage products ranging from frozen flour products to alcoholic beverages and dairy as well as chocolate products.

The goal of the Slovak enterprises participating in the mutual national exposition was to present their own business activities and to introduce their assortment of products to the international partners.
Event was organised within the framework of the National Project ‘Support of internationalization of SMEs’ which is organized within the framework of the Operational Programme Research and Innovation, priority axis 3, investment priority 3.2, specific goal 3.2.1 targeting the increase of internationalization of SMEs and the use of the opportunities provided by the EU’s common market.

Within the whole period of the National Project’s implementation, SARIO seeks to realize 75 national expositions on the international fairs and exhibitions.
