Slovakia presented its business potential in China

From June 18- 20, 2012 the conference “Euro-China Business Meeting Heilongjiang 2012“  took place in Harbin, the city in the Heilongjiang Province. Representatives of 50 European countries and 150 local businessmen and Heilongjiang Province government representatives accepted the invitation to participate at this event.

 

The main goal was to introduce the investment environment of each participating European country. The B2B meetings aiming to develop new investment and business relations were also an essential part of this event. Slovakia was presented at this event by SARIO project managers. Representatives of SARIO also accompanied the Ambassador of the SR in Beijing  H. E.  Frantisek Dlhopolcek at the audience with Mr. Wang, the Governor of Heilongjiang Province.

 

The business trip in China continued on June 21, 2012 in Beijing, where the Slovak Embassy organized an investment seminar as an accompanying program of the Slovak Business Days event. The aim was to inform potential Chinese investors about business opportunities in Slovakia and advantages of Slovak investment environment.

 

The event was attended by representatives of 20 major companies such as the China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd., Enn, LENOVO, Maslink, China International Exchange Association, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Sined, Longda Bone China and Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.

 

SARIO presented in detail the Slovak regulatory environment, infrastructure, the educational structure of population and investment opportunities in the area of science and research. Representatives of LENOVO, the largest Chinese company operating on the Slovak market, presented their Slovak success story and pointed out their positive experience of doing business in Slovakia, as well as plans of for the future. B2B meetings were the integral part of this event; Chinese representatives expressed their interest to invest in Slovakia, especially in the fields of ICT, energy and heating, construction, infrastructure and automotive industry.
