Amazon already in Slovakia

On August 4th the American company operating the largest internet store in the world Amazon.com, Inc. has opened its Seller Support Center in Bratislava, Slovakia.

 

Róbert Šimončič, SARIO CEO attended together with the employees and management of investor today´s opening ceremony. Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency assisted the investor in his decision making process considering possible investment location by delivering analytical and professional help. Today the center will start its operation focusing on support of German and British clients of Amazon.

 

"We're delighted that today is “day one” in our new Seller Support Center. We have selected Bratislava because of the great employment base in the region with candidates who provide excellent language and technical skills”, said Micah Samuels, Amazon Director of Seller Support Operations.

 

Juraj Miškov, the Minister of Economy of the SR said in this context:”I am very pleased by the fact that Slovakia is attractive country for such a renowned and innovative company,” and he added: “We will continue in our efforts to improve business environment of the SR in order to achieve our goal – turning Slovakia into the most attractive country for investments in the Central and Eastern Europe. “
