Doing Business in Slovakia 2015 — Opportunities in the Slovak Automotive Industry

The Slovak Investment and Trade development Agency (SARIO) organized an investment seminar 'Doing Business in Slovakia 2015 — Opportunities in the Slovak Automotive Industry' at the 66th IAA, one of the biggest car fairs in the world.

The 'Doing Business in Slovakia 2015 — Opportunities in the Slovak Automotive Industry' investment seminar took place on the 25th of September 2015 with its main topic — the Slovak automotive business environment and its goal — to attract investors willing to expand their business to Slovakia. This event was visited by more than 70 guests, while most of them were representatives of production companies involved
in the automotive industry.

Thanks to the event, SARIO managed to identify several investment opportunities since some of the companies showed real interest to increase their capacities in Central Europe and Slovakia.

The seminar was co-organized by Mr. Imrich Donath, Honorary Consul
of the SR for Hesse and the German Automotive Association (VDA).

The opening speech of the event was held by Mr. Kay Lindemann, the Managing Director of VDA. He was followed by the key speaker of the event, Mr. Vazil Hudák, the Minister of Economy of the SR. The last welcome note was presented by H. E. Peter Lizák, the Ambassador of the SR to Germany.

He was followed by Mr. Robert Šimončič, SARIO's CEO, who had the chance to present the first main presentation, while the second one was presented by Mr. Juraj Sinay, the President of the Automotive Industry Association of the SR.

The last two presentations belonged to established success stories of the Slovak automotive industry, namely — Mr. Axel Mallener, General manager of Brose Plant Bratislava and Prievidza, and Mr. Herwig Jörgl, Head of Business Development at Matador Holding.

After the successful investment seminar, the delegation moved to the exhibition halls, where the Minister of the Economy of the SR met established companies already operating in Slovakia.
