Location Bratislava On June 14, 2012 the presentation of Slovakia as a top tourist and investment destination in the form of seminar with the tasting of Slovak delicacies took place on the premises of ??the Embassy of the SR in Copenhagen.Seminar was prepared by the Slovak Embassy in cooperation with the Confederation of Danish Industry and by the economically and with politically very influential Association of Former Members of the Royal Danish Guard. The aim of this seminar, the third event in a row from the Invest&Visit project of the Embassy of the SR, was to present to the Danish entrepreneurs, members of the Royal Danish Guard, representatives of travel agencies, chambers of commerce and the media, Slovakia as an attractive tourist and investment partner. Radomir Bohac, H. E. Ambassador of the SR in Denmark opened the event by the presentation of the advantages provided by Slovakia to investors and tourists. Since Danish firms employ seven thousand people in Slovakia, participants presented the intention of creating the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Bratislava. The first hand experience with doing business in Slovakia was presented by David Mayer, CEO of VELUX (manufacturer of roof windows, plant in Partizánske) and Mogens Rudiger , CEO Tytex (production of special medical fabrics; Tytex plant in Humenné has 450 employees). The representatives of Danish companies expressed great satisfaction with their Slovak investment which is also confirmed by the contemplated expansion of production capacities of their Slovak plants. On behalf of the members of the Royal Guard Major Morten Salomonsen highly appreciated the opportunity to participate in the event that allows members and former members of the Royal Guard to establish direct contacts with businesses in Slovakia. Complex business and legal framework, rules for investors and Slovak investment strategy were presented by Kristina Bálintová, SARIO Project Manager.
