On 25-26 April 2017, Slovakia hosted a Finnish business mission led by members of the Finnish Committee for the Future, Harris Jaskari and Sinuh Wallinheim. On April 25, 2017, an introductory meeting was held in the morning. It was opened by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of SR, L. Parízek.The Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Finland, Mr. Králik, and members of the Finnish Committee for the Future presented a program of the business mission and a strategy for the further development of cooperation between Slovakia and Finland in the field of innovation, clean-tech, creative industry, robotics and education. Kritiska Erkkila, a representative of the city of Espoo, introduced this most innovative Finnish city, which actively links modern platforms in education, science and research with the public and private sectors. On this occasion, the SARIO agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak republic, organized B2B meetings between Slovak and Finnish companies. B2B meetings were attended by 12 Finnish and 20 Slovak companies in the field of ICT, robotics, automotive, education and green technologies. Overall, 85 B2B meetings were held. The Business Mission from Finland continuously follows in previous activities with the aim of the development of relations between Slovakia and Finland, for instance the "Fun Learning" mission of Finnish entrepreneurs in the field of learning, which was attended by Peter Vesterbacka on 13-14.
