Location Bratislava The event "Business across borders" organized the premises of the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Stavanger on October 16, 2012 presented Slovak economy with the focus on promoting the development of trade relations and investment of Norwegian businesses in Slovakia. It was organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Stavanger, in cooperation with the Embassies of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary and the Slovak Republic. After the presentation of each country, individual discussions of diplomats with Norwegian companies followed. Stavanger is considered the center of the Norwegian mining industry, particularly in the oil and natural gas, bringing increased demand for skilled labor as well as cooperation in supplying the needs of the mining industry. During the negotiations with Norwegian businesses the follow-up steps were agreed on considering the possibilities of cooperation between Slovak and Norwegian companies: Tangible cooperation and subcontracting offers emerged and they will be forwarded to Slovak companies and SARIO will work as a link between them.
