Location Bratislava On April 12, 2013 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) actively participated on the "Safely in times of crisis" conference, held in Nicosia, Cyprus. The conference was organized on behalf of Poland, currently the presidency country of the Visegrad (V4), by the Embassy of Poland in Nicosia. The aim was to attract the attention of Cypriot companies to investment opportunities in the V4 region. In the opening panel, investment environments of all V4 countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia) were introduced. The event was attended by about 80 representatives of Cypriot companies and associations. The conference, in addition to general topics related to the economic and financial situation in the V4 countries paid special attention to the topic of banking and financial markets, in which are Cypriot companies especially active. The second and the third panels were devoted exclusively to representatives and entrepreneurs from Poland. B2B meetings with Cypriot companies that have expressed more interest in further investment and trade with Slovakia took place after the event and might lead to fruitful cooperation in the future. Investment climate of the SR was presented by Andrea Mikulová, Project Manager of SARIO. Her presentation was among all the presentations described to be the most dynamic, attractive and professionally presented.
