On December 3 and 4, 2019 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organized a series of seminars in Banská Bystrica and Prešov in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. The central theme was the current tools to support business activity in the so-called the least developed districts of Banská Bystrica, Prešov, and Košice Regions. During seminars, presenters from the Ministry of Economy and SARIO focused on financial forms of business support (investment aid scheme, R&D deduction for research and development and current calls under the Operational Program Research and Innovation), but also non-financial support options (SARIO services for investment and export support projects). The seminars were attended by 74 mayors and county representatives, committees for the development of the least developed districts and regional development support centers. The main objective of the event was to inform the audience about the different forms of support and to provide information that these representatives can further pass on to the least developed regions entrepreneurs.
