SARIO represents the CleanTech Sector in Canada

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, a virtual event "Canada-V4 collaboration for the economic recovery - fostering the CleanTech sector" organized primarily for audiences in the Canadian province of Québec and V4 countries took place. The webinar was organized by embassies of Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary in Canada and took place in the context of the current Polish Presidency of the V4 and as such was moderated primarily by the Polish Ambassador to Canada, Mr. Andrzej Kurnicki.

The main goal of the webinar was to present business and investment opportunities in the field of innovation and development within the V4 region and the province of Québec with an emphasis on clean technologies sectors (CleanTech). In the introduction, the ambassadors of the V4 countries spoke about the mutual bilateral cooperation between Canada and their countries. This has been followed by a panel consisting of presentations given by representatives of the CleanTech sector in Canada - Ontario Clean Technology Industry Association (OCTIA), Toronto Region Board of Trade, Écotech Québec and Northland Power.

Slovakia was at this event represented and presented by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Canada, Mr. Vít Koziak and Marek Kopanický, a consultant of the investment projects department and SARIO innovative services lead. In addition to the presentation of SARIO services, the presentation was focused on the topics of e-mobility, hydrogen technologies and a sample of the Slovak companies from various segments belonging to the CleanTech sector such as waste management, circular economy or renewable energy sources. Marián Adam, an economic diplomat of the Slovak Embassy in Canada, also took part in the event.
