Location Finland The regional office of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) together with the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK) in Banska Bystrica prepared business mission in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Slovak Republic in Helsinki and the City of Banska Bystrica to its Partnership Finnish city of Jyväskylä from 20th to 23rd of November 2013. The aim of the business mission was to intensify Slovak and Finnish cooperation in the field of investment, trade, education, sport and municipality management. During the Business Seminar held on 21st of November 2013 in the common facilities of the Central Finland Chamber of Commerce and Jyväskylä Regional Development Company Jykes the possibilities for cooperation with City of Banska Bystrica, Agency SARIO and Slovak Chamber of Commerce as well as experience of Finnish investor RANI PLAST about doing business in Slovakiahave been presented. The seminar was followed by B2B negotiations of Slovak (IOP Plus, IPM Engineering, Urpiner, the Representative Office of Slovakia in Helsinki, SARIO, SOPK) and Finnish (JYKES, FINCHAM, Masina-Tuote, LEINONEN, OKARTEK, KA-MU, Artic Machine) representatives of companies. Slovak delegation has been familiarized with Finnish model of education system at the University of Applied Sciences (JAMK) and at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems in Jyväskylä. The delegation has been also presented by the summary of Slovak language learning and applied model of general city plan in Finland.
