Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), within the framework of the National Project: ‘Support of internationalization of SMEs’ and in cooperation with the SARIO’s Foreign Trade Department and the Indonesian Embassy in the Slovak Republic, held a Slovak-Indonesian Business Forum on 29th of September in SARIO agency. The business forum was oriented on the sectors of engineering, automotive, waste management, electrical engineering, and the food industry. The goal of the event was to familiarize the attendees in a comprehensive manner with the business environment of both countries as well as to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the Slovak and Indonesian enterprises.The forum was opened with the speech of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia in the Slovak Republic, H.E. Mrs. Adiyatwidi Adiwoso Asmady, and the speech of the Acting Director of the Foreign Trade Department of SARIO, Ms. Natália Barinková, which were followed by the speech of the General Director of the Section of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the speech of the General Director the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.The event was attended by 15 Slovak and 10 Indonesian companies. Slovak small and medium enterprises achieved, precious contacts for the development of mutual business relations during the business forum. Positive feedback from both sides indicates that this mission was a successful and inspirational event.Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organizes trade missions within its National Project ‘Support of internationalization of SMEs’ which is organized within the framework of the Operational Programme Research and Innovation, priority axis 3, investment priority 3.2, specific goal 3.2.1 targeting the increase of internationalization of SMEs and the use of the opportunities provided by the EU’s common market.
