Slovak Matchmaking Fair 2015

On November 10, 2015 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy the largest export support event in Slovakia – Slovak Matchmaking Fair 2015 (SMF 2015). The event follows in the success of previous eight years of the Slovak Matchmaking Fair. The partner country of this year's event was China. General partner of the event was CSOB bank.
 
"The successful launch of the Slovak companies in the global market and economic diplomacy are key activities. The Ministry of Economy is interested in supporting and developing activities of the Slovak companies in an international environment and these belong to the essential interests of the Ministry of Economy and the Slovak Government." said Vazil Hudak, the Minister of Economy of the SR .

"China is the second largest economy in the world. Chinese activities in our region grow from year to year thanks  to 16 + 1 platform with a view to deepening the cooperation between CEE countries and China. This event will contribute to achieve this objective and will help Slovak companies to establish themselves in strong foreign competition as well." said Robert Šimončič, SARIO CEO .

Slovak Matchmaking Fair provides the largest opportunity for Slovak SMEs to find new export business opportunities abroad and penetrate the global market; as well as to the foreign participants it provides an opportunity to establish new contacts with Slovak companies and present the investment potential of Slovakia. During the nine years this international "fair" of cooperation opportunities and B2B negotiations hosted a total of 10 partner countries and almost 1,500 companies from over 30 countries worldwide.

"Over 700 bilateral meetings and more than 200 registered companies from 24 countries pave the way for specific activities which should result in new contracts." said CEO SARIO Robert Simoncic.

The accompanying events of the SMF 2015 were the the presentations of Google Slovakia Export à la​ Google: How to Grow Your Business with Google and the Territory and Project Consultations in which were represented the economic diplomats of many countries  - Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Scandinavia, China, Balkan countries, Germany, Austria, USA, ASEAN countries together with the representatives of Slovak Aid and SARIO agency.

Slovak Matchmakig Fair 215 was attended by 205 companies (110 Slovak, 95 foreign) from 23 countries and Slovakia, while from China came a total of 22 subjects. During the event  707 officially registered B2B negotiations and other numerous informal discussions took place.

SMF 2015 was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the SR, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the SR and partners we would like to express our thanks to.
